London, Surrey, Germany, Dublin, etc. : Burns & Son, Burn & Company, Peterson, Allen, Robinson, etc. Finely bound in full contemporary aniline calf over bevelled boards with ornate gilt floral decoration to the front panel and complete with the original copper clasp. Inner gilt dentelle, silk end-papers, etc. Gilt-bordered stiff card. Each has single large portrait or double smaller inlays. Double-sided. Many have sepia-tone photos already inlaid. All edges gilt.
